PASSENGER INFORMATION

We may be small but we’re perfectly formed. We offer passengers and visitors all the services and facilities that you would expect from any vibrant small airport in New Zealand. Find out more via the tabs below:

Please check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of your domestic flight. If you are connecting to an international flight please check in at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure of your domestic flight.

Check-in is currently a manual process. We don’t offer automated check-in yet. However, you are able to check in using the Air New Zealand app which can be downloaded for IOS or Android . This will also give you information on the status of flight arrivals and departures..

Please do remember to bring some form of identification with you.

Our terminal building opens at 5:30 am from Monday to Friday, and at 6:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.

Air New Zealand has strict regulations as to the weight of luggage passengers can take aboard flights. To check baggage allowances, including excess baggage, please click here
We do everything possible to ensure that the ‘differently mobile’ can travel with ease. Wheelchairs are available and airline staff are more than happy to help provide these.

Mobility car parking is available for vehicles with a valid disability card.

A toilet for mobility-challenged passengers is available in the main terminal building.

And finally, if you require special assistance to board or disembark the aeroplane, or during your flight, please contact Air New Zealand directly.

We’re sorry! We don’t yet offer storage facilities for luggage or travel-related items like bikes and sports equipment.
Please have a chat with Air New Zealand about how best to deal with any excess baggage you might have.

Our comfortable lounge facilities are available to all passengers, friends, families and other sundry meeters and greeters. We also have an outside seating area which is quite popular with plane-spotters and other aviation anorak types.

Our café provides sandwiches, cakes and snack foods, quality tea and coffee, and other hot and cold beverages for visitors and passengers on all flights.
